Sewage Remediation Advanced Training Classes

Sewage remediation is a specialized and complicated type of work completed by the
water restoration contractor. There are additional challenges and hazards not
normally encountered with a clean water loss. For this reason, additional training is
required in order to safely and professional handle a sewage water loss. Two new
advanced training classes are being offered to teach your technicians and project
managers the intricate methods of sewage remediation.

SEWAGE REMEDIATION ADVANCED TRAINING OUTLINE

Topics to be covered

   º Introduction to sewage standards and S500 review
   º Terminology
   º Basics of bacteria and sewage pathogens
   º Review of infectious diseases
   º Technician safety
   º Jobsite safety
   º Technician responsibilities
   º Sewage cleanup equipment
   º Proper PPE use
   º Containments, Critical barriers, and negative air
   º Using detergents, sanitizers, and disinfectants
   º Sewage cleanup challenges
   º How to handle contents
   º Review of different sewage remediation scenarios
   º How to handle basements and crawl spaces

All students will receive a 321 page training manual and 1 CEC credit for the IICRC.
